This past weekend we hosted our annual LW company picnic. We look forward to this event every year as an opportunity to gather together with all of our employees and their families. Despite the rain leading up to the picnic starting, it was a great afternoon spending quality time with everyone at Wyandotte County Lake Park.
In addition to feasting on some BBQ from Jack Stack, our team and their families enjoyed a fun filled picnic with a dessert contest, moon bounces, giant Jenga, and raffle prizes.
The dessert contest is a great way for the whole family to get involved by bringing a dessert to share and take part in a little friendly competition. After our carefully selected judges sample each dessert, everyone gets to dig in to find their own personal favorite. Later in the afternoon, the winner and two runner-ups are announced and awarded a cash prize.
Throughout the afternoon, employees hope to hear their numbers called out in the many raffle drawings. Prizes range from cash to Kansas City Chiefs tickets to a weekend at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson.
We also use the picnic to recognize our employees who have been with LW for 10 years. These long-time employees receive a special Tag Heuer watch as a token of our appreciation for their hard work and dedication serving LW over the years.
We think it’s safe to say everyone had a great afternoon together at our annual LW company picnic. Until next year!
